This was revealed inMarvel Snap’s updated content roadmap, which shows what players can expect to see from the game this year.Released in 2022,Marvel Snapis an easy-to-learn card game featuring many Marvel Comics characters with unique abilities. According to the in-game blog, the game mode will be similar to itsfriendly PvP mode, but takes it to the next level as players can face-off against players in ranked games. When they queue up for Conquest matches, they’ll choose which league they want to compete in, and if they win a series of battles without losing, they can unlock tickets that they can use to access battles in higher leagues. Players can also win medals, which can be used in the Conquest Shop to unlock exclusive rewards.
Manyplayers seemed to love the idea of the new game mode and the other updates in the roadmap, also expressing their gratitude to Second Dinner for the current direction of the game. One requested forMarvel Snapto have a spectator mode installed in the client for the full competitive experience. Based on the reactions on Conquest, it seemed like many gamers are sold on the idea thatMarvel Snapcan be a viable competitive online card game,likeYu Gi Oh! Master Duel.
While Conquest doesn’t have a release date yet, its addition toMarvel Snapcould help motivate players to reach their desired rank. They could also use this time to create and experiment with decks that will help them climb the ranks once Conquest comes out. There are many deck types to choose from, fromControl decksto Destroy decks.
Marvel Snapis still a young game, but it already shows a lot of potential to grow bigger, especially with a massive Marvel universe to pull from for card and location designs. Depending on how soon game updates will roll out, a competitiveMarvel Snapleague featuring the best players might just happen sooner rather than later.
