Minato Namikaze is one of the most popular characters in the world ofNaruto. He was the Fourth Hokage of the village and known to be a legendary shinobi, the likes of which were only seen once in a generation. Realizing that the threatthat the world of Shinobifaces was massive, Minato and ended up sacrificing his life in order to make his son, Naruto, the savior of the world. The 4th Hokage ended up dying and very little of him was seen in the story until the 4th Great Ninja War, where he was resurrected using Edo Tensei by Orochimaru. Fans got to see quite a lot of him in the war, however, most of his activities from his prime days were never illustrated by the author. Thanks to the new global popularity poll ofNaruto, fans now have a chance of getting a spin-off manga on the character who is currently leading it by quite a margin and is projected to win, Minato Namikaze.

What The Minato Spin-off Could Be About

As fans know already, Minato is knownto have been a genius shinobiright from the get-go. He was a ninja blessed with immense talent and, unfortunately, this part of his life has not been focused on much in the story at all. When Kushinaconfronted Kurama along with Naruto, fans got to see a bit of Minato and her in the Academy, however, this was certainly not enough to paint a picture of why Minato was deemed so special. The spin-off manga could very well be set in the early days of the Yellow Flash of the Leaf. Fans could get to see him growing up in the Academy and receive a first-hand experience of why he was so special.

Eventually, Minato is known to have moved under the care of one of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya. According to Jiraiya, Minato was a shinobi the likes of which he had never seen before. For him, Minato was the greatest ever and that certainly says a lot about how much the Yellow Flash impressed him. Provided that the spin-off manga does give fans a glimpse of Minato’s childhood days and his time as a Genin or a Chunin, the genius of his character can be fully explored and that is certainly something that every fan of the series would want.

Minato’s genius was such that he progressed through the ranks very quickly and by the time of the Third Great Ninja War, had already established himself as a ninja worthy of becoming a Kage. Unfortunately, very little is known about the time in between. That said, Minato is certainly a character deserving of a spin-off. Provided that he does continue on the spectacular run of votes and wins the entire contest, it will be incredible to witness Kishimoto draw him through his early ninja days.

Which Other Characters Could Show Up In The Manga

Minato Namikaze is already a character who fans will be invested enough in the spin-off manga, however, he certainly isn’t the only one that fans will have their eyes on. Obviously, Minato’s wife, Kushina Uzumaki will also heavily feature in the manga, regardless of what time of his life this story will be set in. Minato and Kushina are known to have dated at a very young age and eventually, they got married. This means that Kushina will be present in the manga in some shape or form, however, it is unknown to which extent she will influence the story. Given that she is a beloved character among the fans, it will be interesting to see her play a bigger rolethan what Kishimoto’s female characters are known to play usually.

At the same time, another character that every fan would love to see more of is one of the members of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya. Minato ended up becoming a student of Jiraiya and learned a great deal from him. Being a spectacular shinobi himself, Jiraiya taught him everything there was to learn about the way of ninja. In fact, Jiraiya fully believe that Minato was the Child of Prophecy at first. The two spent so much time together that before Naruto was born, Jiraiya was named the godfather of the child by Minato and Kushina, which just goes to show the closeness of their relationship. This would also be a glimpse at his prime self for the fans.

Along with Jiraiya, Minato’s two other teammates who remain unknown to this day could also feature in the story. After all, everyone has a three-man cell and so far, Jiraiya’s only known student is Minato. What exactly happened to the other two is unknown, however, the manga could throw some more light on that. Along with him, fans could also get to see more of a younger version of Kakashi, provided that the spin-off manga is set in the Jonin days of Minato. Regardless of what direction the spin-off manga takes, fans will certainly have a huge cast to enjoy and the manga will certainly live up to the expectations, more likely than not.
