However, due to the many complications that have arisen due to the coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, companies and organizations all over are taking precaution. Now, Amazon might be delaying orders for those player receiving physical copies ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remakethrough the company.

As most everyone knows, companies all the world are scrambling to deal with the rising concerns brought on by the coronavirus. Massive organizations like theNBA even suspended its seasondue to player and public safety concerns. Naturally, the concern has squirmed its way into nearly every industry, with the gaming industry seeing major shakeups to live events and even product releases.
Most notably,E3 2020 was recently canceled outright, which is something that is unprecedented for the industry and many modern gaming fans. Recently, fans are growing concerned over products like the next generation of consoles being delayed thanks to the virus’ spread and influence. Now, it seems that Amazon is taking precautions and delaying non-essential orders and extending the windows for existing orders until April 5.
Naturally, the non-essential orders that Amazon mentions include physical video games and video game-related products. Notably,Final Fantasy 7 Remakefans have reportedly begun getting emails that note the game’s release date has been changed, leading to some major confusion. Especially sinceFinal Fantasy 7was already delayedand given a new release date for April 10. Interestingly, it seems that a majority of those who have preordered the deluxe edition of the game are getting these emails, and far less for the game’s standard edition.
Regardless, it seems there is a good chance that some game orders through Amazon may receive a slight delay if the release date falls within the end of March and the beginning of April. While this is frustrating news for those receiving these emails from Amazon, it’s understandable that the company is talking precautions during this time.
