Netflix is ramping up the promotional campaign forEnola Holmes 2and just released new footage from the much-awaited sequel. The film brings back Millie Bobby Brown in the lead as the younger sister of the extremely popular detective Sherlock Holmes, and she’ll be investigating another crime. But, before she gets her hands dirty, she will need to learn how to waltz with her trusty partner Louis Partridge’s Tewkesbury.
In the newly releasedEnola Holmes 2clip, Brown’s titular character is seen facing a challenge in the midst of her investigation. In order to blend in and be able to ask questions, she has to participate in a waltz. However, she doesn’t know how to dance and is ready for a quick lesson from the Viscount. Whether she succeeds or not will be revealed in the film, but the clip is a joyous watch nonetheless.

The clip begins with the traditionalEnola Holmes-stylebreaking of the fourth wall. Enola is seen talking to the camera about how she should have been better prepared, but “dancing is not one of [her] core strengths.” The scene shifts to her dancing with her mother, Helena Bonham Carter’s Eudoria, when she was younger, and one could hardly refer to that as anything elegant. Lucky for her, Tewkesbury’s “timing is impeccable.”
Enola Holmes urges the Viscount to teach her to dance, as he has been learning since he was five. “I’m looking for a murderer, though I shouldn’t have told you that. Forget I told you that. I’m trying to save a girl’s life,” she explains, sounding rather flummoxed. Even though she’s obviously up to no good, Tewkesbury agrees to teach her and the pair gets into position, followed by Tewkesbury’s whispers of “one, two, three” filling up the quiet room.
It seems likeEnola Holmes 2will offer the two charactersmore time together, which is something fans of the first film have been looking forward to. There are hopes for their budding romance to continue over the course of the upcoming film, and this scene proves that the two have the right amount of chemistry for it. But, dancing isn’t all they will be doing, because as Enola mentioned, there is a murderer on the loose.
Similar to the first film, fans expect Tewkesbury to helpEnola Holmes solve the latest crime. The sequel, which is based on the bookThe Case of the Left-Handed Lady, will follow the journey of Enola tracking the missing Lady Cecily Alistair.
Enola Holmes 2will be available to stream on Netflix starting July 29, 2025.
