AsHalo Infinitedraws closer to release, one well-known influencer has stepped up to reveal what he personally hopes to see from Microsoft’s upcoming title. Before Tyler “Ninja” Blevins became one of the faces ofFortnite, he was a competitiveHaloplayer, and now he’s sharing his opinion on whatHalo Infiniteshould be.
Ninja was asked his thoughts onHalo Infinitein an interview with ComicBook, where he said that what he really wants from the game is a fun casual experience. The former competitive gamer states that he’s looking for aHalogame he can play with his friends, which appears to mesh well with the fact thatHalo Infinitehas revealed new multiplayer features.

Halo Infinitewill likely have at least one more test flightbefore it launches and multiplayer has historically been a series priority, which may appear to bode well, but that isn’t all Ninja had to say about the game. He went on to note that in his opinion, the last fewHalogames haven’t been that great, so he hopes forHalo Infiniteto be at least casually fun. It appears that his dissatisfaction is specifically aimed atHalo 4andHalo 5: Guardians, as he was actively competing in the professionalHalo 3esports scene over a decade ago. The streamer continued playing professionally untilHalo 5, so he has some solid experience with the franchise–and solid reasons to weigh in on its future direction.
His priorities may be a bit of a surprise to some of his fans, as Ninja is best-known for his ties to theFortniteBattle Royale game and there have been requests forHalo Infiniteto include a Battle Royale mode. Ninja’s phrasing also suggests that he doesn’t have plans to return to theHalocompetitive scene withHalo Infinite, but it does showcase his continued ties to the franchise. Gamers may agree with his desire for the newHalogame to reflect the feel of the old ones, especially if they also intend to play it casually with friends. Casual players may face their ownobstacles to enjoyingHalo Infinite, especially those playing on older Xbox consoles.
Ninja’s more grounded hopes may be easy to overlook when many otherHalofans seem to have sky-high expectations forHalo Infinite, but it’s clear he’s still looking forward to the game’s release. He just hopes that the franchise’s next step will bring back some of what he loved about the earlierHalogames–a feeling that many gamers can probably empathize with. While Ninja hopes that 343 industries will do well with this game, other streamers likeDr Disrespect haven’t been as generous toHalo Infinite. How the final game will play remains to be seen.
