This ambitious dream has forced him to confront and defeat countless enemies all over the world. A lot of people truly despise Zoro, but who hates him more than anybody else? Just a heads-up: Despite their hilarious, long-running rivalry,Sanjiis not on the list because he doesn’t actually hate him.

Still Holds A Big Grudge Against Zoro

When the Straw Hat Pirates faced theBuggy Pirates, their chief of staff,Cabaji, was challenged by Zero since they both are skilled swordsmen. But despite his arrogance and his tricky unicycle maneuvers, the Pirate Hunter took him down, proving that he’s a strong combatant worthy of being part of Luffy’s crew.

This battle was one of the first victories that Zoro achieved in the entire series, and Cabaji has shown great resentment over him ever since, just like his captain Buggy resents Luffy. What’s interesting is thatNetflix’s Live Action adaptation added a brand-new backstory to Cabaji, who wants to take revenge on the Pirate Hunter because he killed his older brother. So, this version of the character hates Zoro even more.

A Traitorous Pirate That Was Swiftly Taken Care Of

Scratchmen Apoois one of the infamous members of the Worst Generation, since he didn’t hesitate to betray his fellow pirates because he was working for Kaido. When Luffy and Zoro first encountered him during the Raid on Onigashima, Apoo began attacking them relentlessly, causing some true bad blood to arise between them.

But whenQueenspread the Oni Plague on the battlefield, and forced the antidote on Apoo, the musical pirate became the target of many people, of which the only one who succeeded in stopping him was Zoro. With just one powerful attack, the Pirate Hunter completely incapacitated Apoo, not only damaging him in the process, but also exposing how useless he actually was to the Beast Pirates.

Didn’t Hesitate To Publicly Punish The Bounty Hunter

Morganis one of the very first corrupt marines introduced inOne Pieceand this is immediately evident in the way he tyranically ruled over Shells Town. When Zoro killedHelmeppo’sdangerous pet wolf, Morgan arrested the bounty hunter and publicly starved him for over a month. Not to mention that he also confiscated his three swords.

But as fate would dictate, this ruthless punishment would lead to the meeting between Zoro and Monkey D. Luffy. Even though Morgan saw these commoners as inferior to him, they both managed to swiftly defeat him,and Zoro even dealt the devastating final blow. Morgan would later be convicted for his actions and lose everything he had, mostly because of Zoro’s actions.

Reminded Him Of Kozuki Oden

Despite his impressive size and power,Kaidois a strong warrior who usually respects his opponents. But there’s someone he resents more than anybody else, and that is his former rival and enemy,Kozuki Oden. So,when Zoro joined the showdown on the roof of Onigashima while wielding Oden’s sword,Enma, he immediately caught Kaido’s attention.

Kaido could sense Oden’s Haki emanating from the sword, which brought back some awful memories for him.But things got even worse when Zoro performed his destructive Ashura attack on him, and thus became one of the few people who could permanently scar the world’s strongest creature. At that moment, Roronoa Zoro looked like an incarnation of Kozuki Oden, and this made Kaido really mad.

Hates Zoro As Much As Luffy

Even thoughKakuwas Zoro’s CP9 opponent during the Enies Lobby Arc, it seemed that there was no bad blood between them, and they even somewhat respected each other. But the same can’t be said about Kaku’s leader,Rob Lucci, who despises Luffy and, as a result, equally hates every member of his crew.

Rob Lucci interacted with Zoro during the Egghead Island Arc, where CP0 and the Straw Hat Pirates temporarily teamed up in order to fight against the Seraphim. But Lucci betrayed them afterward, which led to a one-on-one battle against Zoro. As they clashed against each other, Rob Lucci kept insulting the Pirate Hunter, claiming that killing him would be as pleasant as killing his captain.Zoro eventually came out victorious with by dealing a powerful final blow, before escaping alongside Jinbe, which completely humiliated Rob Lucci.

Zoro’s Angriest Opponent

Because of his samurai-like personality, most of Zoro’s defeated opponents seem to hold some level of respect towards him. But, as it can be seen throughout this very same list, there are some villains who can’t help but hold a big grudge. And one of the most notorious examples isPica, one of the strongest officers from the Donquixote Family.

They got off to a bad start when Zoro laughed at and mocked Pica’s high-pitched voice alongside Luffy, something that greatly angered him. They eventually engaged in battle and, despite his enormous arrogance and practical Devil Fruit,Pica recognized that the Pirate Hunter was way stronger than him. This culminated in a final showdown where Pica covered his entire body with Haki, which he was confident Zoro could never cut through. Of course, he was wrong, and he was efficiently defeated by the green-haired swordsman.

His Dreams Were Completely Crushed By Zoro

Zoro vs.Kingis arguably one of the most intense battles in all ofOne Piece. At first, this seemed like a regular - almost mandatory - encounter because they are both the second-in-command of their respective crews. Zoro even managed to get on King’s bad sideby damaging the mask that he uses to hide his identity. But they found out more about each other as they kept fighting.

Zoro and King mirror each other, as they were both saved from the World Government by their respective captains and became the first members of their crews. Zoro fights fiercely because he believes Luffy will become the Pirate King andAlberfights fiercely because he believes Kaido will become the Pirate King.Their battle became more personal because of these newfound feelings, and King was truly dumbfounded when Zoro managed to defeat him. Everything he believed in and fought for was gone in seconds, all due to this powerful swordsman from the East Blue.
