Overwatch 2recently revealed new Tank hero Ramattra by releasing the character’s origin video, explaining his backstory and confirming other details, like his voice. ManyOverwatch 2fans were impressed with Ramattra’s intimidating voice work, and they may be wondering exactly who is voicing the character.
Overwatch 2will add Ramattra to the roster of playable heroes when Season 2 starts on December 6. A map themed after Ramattra is also in the works, though Blizzard has yet to reveal it to the public. In any case, Ramattra should make for a unique new Tank hero when he joins theOverwatch 2rosterthanks to his ability to transform into a “Nemesis” mode where he becomes a hulking brute with a new suite of abilities compared to his default form. Combine that with Ramattra’s ability to punch through shields, and he should shake things up quite a bit.

TheOverwatch 2Ramattra origin videodidn’t reveal gameplay or abilities, but it did explain why the character has become the leader of the omnic terrorist group Null Sector. Fans will have to wait to learn more about Ramattra, but those curious about who is voicing the character should note that he is being portrayed by British actor Ramon Tikaram.
Who Voices Ramattra in Overwatch 2?
Ramon Tikaram has appeared in a variety of popular TV series over the years, including HBO’s hit showGame of Thrones. He’s also had an extensive history as a video game voice actor, appearing in games likeDragon Age: Inquisition,Fable 3, andNeed for Speed Payback. Notably, Tikaram has voiced characters in FromSoftware projects as well, includingDark Souls 3andElden Ring. In the latter, Tikaram played the voice ofElden Ringboss Godrick the Grafted, one of the first major bosses that players encounter in the game.
Overwatch 2fans have already taken to Tikaram’s performance as Ramattra inOverwatch 2, but it will be interesting to see the character voiced outside the short origin video. Since Ramattra is the leader of Null Sector, one has to imagine that he will have a big role to play inOverwatch 2’s PvE mode, whenever it launches, but details on that are unavailable at the time of this writing.
While it remains to be seen if Ramattra will feature heavily in theOverwatch 2PvE or not, fans can at least look forward to hearing the character talk to others in-game, with Blizzard confirming that he will have some unique interactions withSupport hero Zenyatta. There’s also a chance he could appear in an animated short, but that remains to be seen.
Overwatch 2is available now in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
