The Silver Bangle and Heart Ring are special because they work on everyone. Joker can give the Silver Bangle to a male confidant orthe Heart Ring to a female confidant, and always get three points. So while these are the most expensive gifts in the game, players are guaranteed to get a good result even if they aren’t using a guide. On the other hand, items like the Idol Pins, Aroma Machine, Puzzle Rings, and Mochi Cushion are disliked by everyone and are not worth buying.

Players can only buy one of each gift at a time, but like every other store, gift sellersrestock their items every Monday. This means players can buy several copies of popular items like Snack Packs and Robot Vacuums and hand them out to every confidant who likes them. Players can also sometimes get gift items from the Sunday shopping network.

How to Use Gifts

Joker can only give gifts to his confidants on regular hangout events that the player initiates. This means no gifts during ranking events and no gifts during special events where a confidant invites Joker out. However, it doesn’t matter whether Joker and his confidant hang out in the same spot orwhether they go to another part of Tokyo. Players can give gifts in either case.

There’s also a hidden requirement for gift-giving. If Joker gets enough points during the hangout to start the next ranking event, the game won’t let players give the confidant a gift. The option only appears when players still need more points to reach a new rank. However, Joker can always give a gift during hangouts that take place after reaching rank 10. Since relationship points don’t matter anymore, players are free to waste as much of their gift money as they like.

Every gift, even a bad one, will give players one relationship point, and each confidantalso has several gifts that will give two points. The same-Arcana bonus players get during events also applies to gifts, and so players with the right Persona can get three points even from a middling gift.

Joker will sometimes get gifts from his confidants during hangouts, and he canuse these to decorate his room. Players don’t need to give confidants a gift to get these decorations, and the two item types aren’t connected in any way.

To sum up, gifts are a great way for players to spend money and save time by boosting a confidant relationship between ranks. However, if players are having trouble giving gifts, that’s only because they don’t need the extra help.
