Leveling in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Just Got Much Easier
The leveling process fornew PSO2 NGS playershas undergone a massive improvement with this update, with the enemy-dense Combat Sectors receiving a permanent 300% boost to experience gains. Since leveling through grinding in these locations is a core part of a player’s leveling routine, this should be a huge time saver. Kimura also noted that players will receive enhanced equipment as they level up, helping keep their gear up-to-date throughout their leveling journey.
I would first like to inform you all that as of December 6th, NGS has become significantly more player-friendly permanently.
To make it easier to catch up to veteran players, Combat Sectors up to a certain level have a constant +300% EXP Earned boost. Furthermore, now when you level up, you will get enhanced equipment that matches your level, so until you reach the maximum level, you will rarely have any difficulties with equipment. In NGS, you can set a Sub-Class in addition to your Main Class, and up until now, that Sub-Class would only get 50% of the experience your Main Class got. However, now your Sub-Class earns 90% of the experience.
Furthermore, while the latest chapter of the story is Chapter 6, the overall difficulty of story progression has been eased.
Leveling has also gotten much easier forPSO2 NGS sub-classes, which have always leveled at half the rate of the player’s main class. With this update, sub-class experience gain has nearly doubled to a 90% rate, another welcome boost that’ll help players save time and allow for easier experimentation with class combinations.
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Updates Have Made The Game Increasingly More Accessible
This update is the latest in a series of updates that have taken steps to make thePSO2 NGS contenta bit more accessible all around. Back in October, Duel Quests were made easier to complete with a doubled time limit and reduced enemy HP, meanwhile, an update in November made the Sign of the Planetbreaker encounter easier to complete with both relaxed failure conditions and easier mechanics among various other changes.
As NGS celebrates its 2.5-year milestone, we are aware of the growing disparity between new or returning players and veteran players.
To address this, we have implemented various adjustments in October and November. These adjustments include easing the participation requirements for the latest content, reviewing reward balances, and implementing boost campaigns for lower-level players.
Additionally, in December, we plan to implement further adjustments and review rewards to make it easier for new and returning players to catch up with veteran players. We want to create a more enjoyable experience in NGS than ever before, and we strongly encourage new and returning users to give it a try.
