Many of the alternate Spideys shown are already featured asunlockable costumes in 2018’sMarvel’s Spider-Man, including the cel-shaded Peter B. Parker from the previousInto the Spider-Versefilm. The appearance of theMarvel’s Spider-Manversion of Peter inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Versecouldn’t have come at a better time, as Insomniac is set toreleaseMarvel’s Spider-Man 2on the PlayStation 5later this year. While it isn’t yet clear if the multiverse will play a role in this upcoming Spidey tale, both Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be featured as they face off against the fearsome Venom. An action figure description from the Marvel LegendsMarvel’s Spider-Man 2Miles Morales figure implied that the game version of Miles shared his animated counterpart’s interdimensional adventures, but this was later confirmed to be a mistake.
In any case,Spider-Manfans are certainly in for an exciting 2023 thanks to the release ofSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseon June 2, followed bythe launch ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2later in the year.
