ThePokemonfranchise has inspired people from multiple generations since the launch of the original TV series back in the nineties. Since then, the franchise has released numerous video games, movies, comics, and other media, gathering a massive fan base in the process. These fans show their affection forPokemonthrough various means, like collecting cards and creating different types of fan art, among many others.
Moreover, as fans eagerly wait for the next games,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they regularly come up with artwork based on the new pocket monsters to be introduced, like Smoliv, Sprigatito, and Fuecoco. Recently, aPokemonfan art showing Lechonk going after Smolivmade a few waves on gaming forums.

On the other hand, a different section of the community shows its admiration forPokemonby amassing collectible items. Logan Paul is one such souvenir enthusiast who has a great collection of hundreds ofPokemoncards. Naturally, fans were surprised to seeLogan Paul auctioning more than 700Pokemoncardsfrom his collection with a total value of more than $200,000. Reddit user Lumberjack1025 is another trading cards aficionado with a stockpile of classic cards that they believed to have been lost for years. Fortunately, the Redditor had a nostalgic experience as they surprisingly found a binder of these classic trading cards when cleaning their garage.
Lumberjack1025 uploaded an image of the binder containing their assortment ofPokemoncards. Charmeleon, Charizard, Dark Charizard, and Dark Flareon are the cards seen in the photo, suggesting the user kept multiple cards of the same pocket monster. The Reddit community positively received the post, evidenced by a more than 95 percent upvote ratio and many comments. Some users even pointed out that Lumberjack1025’s collection could be worth a lot of money. However, the user clarified that they have no intention of selling these cards and will gift them to their children.
Over the years,Pokemoncards have become exceptionally rare, and collectors are becoming aware of the significance of sealed packs, which increases their value exponentially. This extreme rarity, combined with a high return on investment, makes these trading cards subject to many crimes. ACalifornia man was arrested for stealingPokemoncardsworth thousands of dollars from a store in Newhall earlier this year, while a Burger King employee was also apprehended for the same crime in Florida.
However, it should be noted that such instances aren’t an accurate representation of thePokemoncommunity as a whole. Every now and then,Pokemonfans commit altruistic acts, like Lumberjack1025 and the person whogifted aPokemoncard to a random stranger.
