Pokemon GOis officially adding Kleavor, a Pokemon that made its debut inPokemon Legends: Arceus. Theroster inPokemon Legends: Arceusis comprised mostly of creatures returning from otherPokemongames, but it also saw the debut of a handful of brand-new Pokemon as well.
One of the brand-new Pokemon inPokemon Legends: ArceuswasBug/Rock-type Pokemon Kleavor. Kleavor is the first Noble Pokemon thatPokemon Legends: Arceusplayers square off against. Kleavor serves as an alternate evolution for Generation 1 Pokemon Scyther, who is also capable of evolving into Scizor. If a Pokemon trainer wants their Scyther to evolve into Kleavor, they need to use the Black Augurite item on it.

InPokemon GO, getting Kleavor will be a matter of defeating it in a raid. On May 6 from 11am to 2pm,Pokemon GOplayers will have the chance to encounter Kleavor in three-stair raids, with the shiny variant available from the get-go. It’s possible Niantic will eventually make it soPokemon GOplayers can evolve Scyther into Kleavor, but when it makes it debut on May 6, the only way to add it to one’s roster will be by defeating it in a raid and catching it.
When is Kleavor Coming to Pokemon GO Raids?
The good news is that since Kleavor is a three-star raid, it should be fairly easy for allPokemon GOplayersto defeat it, even if they have to do it solo or with a small group of friends. This way, the only barrier to fighting Kleavor in a raid and adding it to one’sPokemon GOcollection will be finding a gym with a Kleavor raid available.
To make things a little easier, Niantic is making it soPokemon GOplayers can earn five additional Raid Passes while the Kleavor event is live and for up to two hours after it concludes, so 4pm local time. Additionally, thePokemon GORemote Raid Passlimit is being increased to 10 from 12:00am local time to 11:59pm local time on May 6 as well. This is unlikely to appease those who are upset about the Remote Raid Pass changes that Niantic has made toPokemon GO, but it should still be helpful for those wanting to catch Kleavor.
Kleavor’s debut inPokemon GOshould be an exciting time for fans of the game, but there’s no denying that there’s a dark cloud hanging over it right now.Pokemon GOfans are outraged about recent changes Niantic has made to the game, and there’s been no indication that the company will be reversing its decisions at the time of this writing.
