This change comes a few days after aman in Italy was cited for playing the game in public, which defied Italy’s quarantine. It is possible that they made this change to prevent more situations like that from happening. By changing the phrasing on their Twitter bio,Pokemon GOis sending a message that even a small action is necessary for protecting the public.

Anytime thePokemon GOapp is opened, various messages pop up warning players not to enter dangerous areas, trespass, or drive while playing.Pokemon GOcould benefit by placing messages encouraging safe practices such as self-isolating, washing hands, and being aware of symptoms.
