Pokemon GODark Flames has multiple Raid opportunities, Special Research, a Collection Challenge, and more. The event also features a Shiny Turtonator, a treat for Shiny collectors. The event started June 29 at 10 AM Local Time and ends on July 2 at 8 PM Local Time. That said, this guide explores everything about the Dark Flames event.

Dark Flames: Dark and Fire-type Timed Research Tasks and Rewards
After completing the first step, players can choose between Dark-type and Fire-type branches. Completing thePokemon GOTimed Research rewardsin-game opportunities like 15,000 XP, a Premium Battle Pass, and event-themed encounters. Their choice for the Timed Research quest will also affect the Dark Flames Collection Challenge.

Dark Flames Collection Challenge
The type of Dark Flames Collection Challenge one gets will depend on the Timed Research path one chooses. Completing the Collection Challenge will reward trainers with 5,000 XP and 100Pokemon GOMega Energyfor Houndoom. One needs to finish it before the event ends for different rewards.
Those who selected the Dark-type Branched Timed Research will get the Dark-type Collection Challenge, and those who decided on Fire-type Branched Timed Research will get the Fire-type Collection Challenge.
