Toward the end of 2020, Pokemon from the Kalos region started to be introduced intoPokemon GO. While only a few were added, thestarter Pokemon, their evolutionary lines, and various early-game Pokemon were made available.

With it now being March inPokemon GO, no more Kalos Pokemon have been added since that initial introduction. This may change soon, however, thanks to the Pokemon seen in an upcoming loading screen for the game.

The new loading screen forPokemon GOis not currently being used in-game, but it was uncovered by adatamining groupfor the game known as PokeMiners. The group has confirmed that it will be put in use on March 16 at midnight GMT. What makes this loading screen so interesting is that it depicts multiple Pokemon from the Kalos region that have yet to actually appear in the game.

In this picture, the Pokemon that have already been inPokemon GOat this time are Servine, Buneary, Kricketune, Whirlipede, and Petilil. The new additions, however, are far more interesting, with Xerneas, Pamcham, Aromatisse, and Sylveon also making appearences.

Xerneas is located at the very top of the loading screen, standing on top of the waterfall and looking down over all of the other visible Pokemon. It is the box art legendary Pokemon ofPokemon Xand a pure fairy-type. Its counterpart, Yveltal, is not seen anywhere in this loading screen possibly meaning that the two won’t be released at the same time.

Pancham can be found toward the center bottom of the loading screen, climbing onto the fallen log other Pokemon are standing on. This Pokemon is a pure Fighting-type that can evolve into the dual Fighting and Dark-type Pokemon Pangoro.

Aromatisse is one of the three Pokemon standing on the fallen log, being the fluffy pink Pokemon on the right. It is the evolution of Spritzee, another native Kalos Pokemon, likely also confirming Spritzee to appear in this update as well. Both Pokemon arepure Fairy-types.

Finally, one of the Kalos Pokemon that many players have looked the most forward to is Sylveon. This Pokemon isn’t out in the open like the others and is instead seen as a silhouette closer to the waterfall. By looking at the fallen log directly in front of the waterfall’s bottom, Sylveon’s silhouette can be seen crossing the log. As one ofEevee’s many evolutions, it will be interesting to see how players will be able to obtain Sylveon in-game.

Pokemon GOis available on Android and iOS.
