Starting on March 1, trainers can expect events during the season that will introduce two more members of the Legendary Titans in Regieleki and Regidrago in Elite Raids. The season trailer also features Meltan asnew Pokemon getting XXSand XXL sizes and Melmetal as a Pokemon that may be caught from raids for the first time and getting the new move Iron Bash during this season. The end of the trailer also hints at something that can take down a tree in one clean cut without being seen, in what may be a tease for the next Mythical Pokemon introduced toPokemon GO.
Rising Hero’s first event is called the Catch Mastery event which features the signature Fighting-type Pokemon line of Tyrogue, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop. This one-day event on March 5, from 10 AM local time to 6 PM, will have increased Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan spawns, Hitmontop in Field Research tasks, and Tyrogue in 7Km eggs, all with increased shiny odds as trainers hone their catching skills for double XP rewards. This will be useful forPokemon GOtrainers still level grinding up to level 40 or those above that are knocking out the bonus requirements to get to level 50.
A one-day event featuring Pokemon that trainers already have is an interesting season-opening move inPokemon GO. With themes of training the players catching ability, Niantic may be building up to a grand competition or event between the teams. With powerful Pokemon on the horizon, trainers may need each other more than usual in activities duringthe months ahead inPokemon GO.
