Depending on what game is played, Leaf Stones can be foundor brought. Luckily forSword and Shieldplayers, Leaf Stones can be found in abundance. As for the Pokemon it evolves though, that can be more of a challenge. With its open-world inspired gameplay, certain Pokemon can be a little harder to find. This is especially true considering only six out of 898 Pokemon can use a Leaf Stone!

If one keeps leveling and does not yet evolve though, that means it may require something more like an evolution stone.Grass types actually have the most Pokemon evolved through evolution stones, and it’s a total of 11. However, that is not just through the Leaf Stone. They can also evolve with the Sun Stone, Water Stone, and Shiny Stone. With that in mind, it can be quite hard to determine which Grass-types actually use a Leaf Stone.
6Eevee To Leafeon
From generation four through seven, Eevee could evolve into a Leafeon when near a Mossy Rock. InSword and Shieldthough, that has changed. Players no longer need to find a Mossy Rock and instead can just use a Leaf Stone. This makes Eevee the single Pokemon that uses a Leaf Stone that is not a Grass-type. However, it does evolve into one!

Base Stats: Strongest in Attack and Defense. Weakest in Special Attack and Special Defense.
Interesting Fact: Is tied with Umbreon for having the lowest Special Attack stat of all Eevee evolutions.
How To Catch Eevee
Eevees are always highly desired. After all,they have many evolutions. To get an Eevee inSword and Shield, players must hang out inRoute 4. Luckily, it isnot time or weather-dependent.However, itsspawn rate is a little lowso players will need to be patient. While players are at it, they may as wellcatch multiple Eevees to evolve differently(especially if they are working on their Pokedex entries).
5Gloom To Vileplume
Gloom is the one of the Pokemon to ever use the Leaf Stone to evolve, since it was introduced in thefirst generation. Be sure to not use a Sun Stone on it, as that will evolve Gloom into a Bellossom instead of a Vileplume.

Generation Introduced:Red, Green, and Blue.
Base Stats: Strongest in Special Attack. Weakest in Speed.
Interesting Fact: Like Bellsprout and Bellossom, it has the category name of the Flower Pokemon.
How To Catch Oddish And Gloom
Oddish can be found in many places. For the highest spawn rate though, the best idea is to hunt in theDappled Groveduringnormal weather. Oddish will appearoverworldthere, so do not waste time in the tall grass. It will evolve to a Gloom at level 21.
Gloom can also be caught at a number of different locations. For the highest spawn rate, players should hunt for Gloom atAxew’s Eyewhile the weather isovercast. Players who do this will have tosearch the grass, as these Gloom to not spawn overworld. It is the location with the highest chance to see one at 40 percent. However, this will only be accessible late-game. For the earliest chance to get a Gloom, players can searchNorth Lake Miloch. At that location, Gloom are most present duringthunderstormsand can be seenoverworldwith a spawn rate of 30 percent.
4Nuzleaf To Shiftry
Next is Nuzleaf, the part Grass and park Dark-type Pokemon. It evolves from a Seedot at the low level of 14, but can also be caught in numerous locations inSword. It is very important to know that this is a Pokemon that is only available inSword, and notShield. That includes Seedot and its evolution. SoShieldplayers will have to get this Pokemon through a trade.

Generation Introduced:Sapphire and Ruby
Base Stats: Strongest in Attack and Special Attack. Weakest in Defense and Special Defense.
Interesting Fact: It was made as a counterpart to Ludicolo, and they were version exclusive in their generation.
How To Catch Seedot And Nuzleaf
Remember that this whole evolution line isSwordexclusive. Seedot can be caught at West Lake Axewell during overcast weather. That is the place with the highest spawn rate at 60 percent. The Seedots will be between levels eight and 14.
The location with the highest spawn rate for Nuzleaf is theGiant’s Seatwhen the weather israiny. In rainy weather, it has a 60 percent spawn rate there. They also can appear there when it issunnybut their spawn rate lowers to just 25 percent. To get one as early in the game as possible, Nuzleaf can be found in theRolling Fieldsbetween levels seven and nine. Their spawn rate there is 40 percent but they are not seen overworld and can be found randomly in thetall grass. This is also only duringrainyweather.
3Exeggcute To Alolan Exeggcutor
First of all, players should know that there is no way to evolve an Exeggcute to an Alolan Exeggcutor. The only way to get one is not through evolution but to find75 Diglettsin theIsle of Armorand talking to the trainer by the bridge in theFields of Honor.

Interesting Fact: It being part Dragon-type may be a reference to the Dracaena genus of trees.
How To Catch Exeggcute
Like Gloom, Exeggcute is also one of the first Pokemon to use a Leaf Stone from the first generation.Unless it’s in aSun or Moongame, it will evolve into a regular Exeggcutor with a Leaf Stone. Unfortunately forSword and Shieldplayers, all the spawn rates for Exeggcute in the game are rather small and is always at 16 percent. They can appearoverworldat theWorkout Seaand theStepping-Stone Sea.
2Weepinbell To Victreebel
Long with Gloom and Exeggcute, Weepinbell is the third first-generation Pokemon to use a Leaf Stone to evolve. The bad news forSword and Shieldplayers is that this Pokemon, along with its entire evolutionary line, arenot availablein the Galar region. On top of that, they cannot be brought over using Pokemon Home. They are just one of those Pokemon that were cut from the game and never were reintroduced with the two expansions.

Interesting Fact: Its name is a combination of victory and bell, but the bell has only one L because the number of characters allowed for a Pokemon name in the first generation was only 10.
How To Catch Bellsprout And Weepinbell
It is impossible to catch, as these Pokemon do not exist in Galar or its Pokedex.
1Pansage To Simisage
Pansage can evolve with a Leaf Stone into Simisage. The other monkeys that are Fire-type and Water-type, Pansear and Panpour, also use a Fire Stone and Water Stone to evolve. Back in theBlack and Whitegames, the player would get a free elemental monkey based onwhat starter they pickedin order to balance their team better.

Interesting Fact: Apparently, the leaf on its head tastes bitter.
How To Catch Pansage
The fate of Pansage and all the other elemental monkeys from theBlack and Whitegenerationare the same was Weepinbell’s evolutionary line.They are not in theSword and Shieldgamesand they cannot be brought over using Pokemon Home.
