As The Pokemon Company works with Nintendo to launch the nextPokemongeneration, TiMi Studio Group finds ways to bridge the gap between the mainline games andPokemon Unitewith this creativePokemon Scarlet and Violetcrossover.The well-knownPokemonwebsite Serebii has confirmed thatPokemon Uniteis getting aPokemon Scarlet and Violetcrossover that will give players unique Gen 9 outfits if they log into the MOBA around launch. AsPokemon Uniteis updatedto feature more Pokemon such as Dodrio, Zoroark, Clefairy, and more, the potential team compositions and gameplay styles begin to reflect advanced MOBA’s likeSmite. Outside of patches that add new Pokemon alongside balancing and other fixes,Pokemon Unitealso offers a seasonal battle pass, with battle pass 11 focusing on Delphox.RELATED:Pokemon 2023 Championship Series AnnouncedPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill release on November 18, andPokemon Uniteplayers that log into the MOBA on the same day with a save file from the mainline release will receive backgrounds, frames, and in-game stickers based on theGen 9 starter Pokemon. While these items will be available until May 21, 2025, the new outfits won’t drop until December 1, which may give some players more time to acquire a Gen 9 game. ThePokemon Scarlet and Violetoutfits will also remain available forPokemon Unitefans to claim until February, though it’s currently unclear if the clothing color is locked to the version of the Gen 9 game.
The two potential outfits thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetfans can choose between reflect the colors of the two games, one being red and the other fittingly being purple. These outfits which appear to bePokemon Scarlet and Violetacademyuniforms swap primary colors for their shoes to show a hint of red on thePokemon Violettrainer and some purple on theScarlettrainer.
Because thePokemon Scarlet and Violettrainer attends an academy, their outfits reflect that and multiple MOBA players quickly noted how strange the clothes will look on the much olderPokemon Unitetrainer. As manyPokemon Unitefans voiced their support for thePokemon Scarlet and Violetcrossover, some mobile players lamented that the mainPokemontitles are exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
