French development studioQuantic Dreamhas become associated with narrative-driven titles with a unique style of gameplay ever since the release of its first major successFahrenheit,orIndigo Prophecyin North America. Since then, Quantic Dream has released three more major titles withHeavy Rain,Beyond: Two Souls, andDetroit: Become Human. All three proved to be popular games, withDetroit: Become Humanrecently receiving a manga spin-off in Japan. With it being four years sinceDetroit: Become Humanlaunched, many gamers are wondering what the studio has planned for its next release.Fans may not have to wait too long to see what Quantic Dream has up its sleeve next because, according to reliable video game leaker Tom Henderson, the developer has a new title lined up for a reveal at Gamescom. According to Henderson, who was writing for TryHardGuides, the title will be shown at a small, behind-the-scenes presentation at this year’s Gamescom. It is currently unknown whether it will feature on the main stage or be a part of Geoff Keighley’sGamescom 2022 Opening Night Livestream.RELATED:Star Wars: Eclipse Dev Responds to Delay RumorsIt is also unknown whatQuantic Dreamwill be showing off at Gamescom. While many would expect the studio to give more information on its majorStar Wars: Eclipseproject, there are a couple of other titles it could be preparing for a reveal. According to Henderson, Quantic Dream is currently working on two games in addition toStar Wars: Eclipse, with one of these titles being a mobile release and the other reportedly a medieval fantasy humor game.

The mobile game Quantic Dream is working on is calledSpellcaster, and it is a collaboration with Netease. The fantasy title is calledDreamlandand has reportedly been in the works since 2015. AsStar Wars: Eclipsecould have gamers waiting until the late 2020sfor a release, it seems more likely thatDreamlandis ready for a proper reveal. This doesn’t mean that fans should completely remove the expectation of aStar Wars: Eclipsereveal from their minds, as Henderson states that is still “entirely possible.”

Whichever game is shown off at Gamescom, it is likely that it will follow the traditional Quantic Dream formula of being a story-driven, narrative experience. While some gamers aren’t too fond of these types of titles, others love them and have even made some hilarious parodies and tributes to Quantic Dream’s releases. Recently, one fan added movie legendLeslie Nielsen toDetroit: Become Humanin a well-made parody video.
