OneRed Dead Redemption 2fan used an in-game photo they took of themselves fishing in a hilarious fashion by printing it out, framing it in their home, and telling visitors it’s their “great uncle Artie.” The photo taken by this player, who goes by leblaun on Reddit, shows player character Arthur Morgan holding what appears to be one of thelegendary fish inRed Dead Redemption 2and is placed in a frame that seems to be appropriately styled after the game’s aesthetics. Leblaun added that no one has yet questioned the photo’s authenticity.

Red Dead Redemption 2is one of several games that includes a photo mode and contextualizes it as an actual in-game camera, which helps taking pictures not break the immersion. This also helps players take self-portraits that are stylized authentically to the period during whichRed Dead Redemption 2takes place. Another example of this kind of photo mode would be the selfie camera seen inMarvel’s Spider-Man,which lets players pose their playable characters as if they were taking actual selfies.
