On the inside of the steelbook case, fans will notice that the members ofthe Van Der Linde gangare lined up on either side, each holding their weapons. The interesting aspect here is that each side represents the major players of the gang going against each other towards the end of the game. On the left, Arthur, Sadie, John, and Charles stand facing the right, which appears to show Dutch, Micah, Bill, and Javier.

Those that beat the game will remember this as the two sides of the game’s sort of Civil War. It’s an interesting choice, and something many might not pick up on until actually beating the game. It’s also a bit strange that Rockstar included such a major potential spoiler forRed Dead Redemption 2’sending, as it could be seen as a giveaway for the ending.
That being said,Red Dead Redemption 2is a prequel, and the first game follows John Marston as he puts down his former gang members, so anyone with the Ultimate Edition likely had an idea of where the story was headed. Still, for those new to the franchise, it could be considered a fairly major story spoiler.
