WhenRed Dead Redemption 2first released, it introduced a number of features that shook up the formula presented in the firstRed Dead Redemption. One feature that was expanded upon inRed Dead Redemption 2were bounty hunters that the player would encounter in the wild should they accumulate a bounty via dishonorable actions. Luckily, one player has found a situational workaround for avoiding bounty hunters.
In addition torobbing banks inRed Dead Redemption 2, players can also rob trains, though admittedly the process is quite tricky should players choose to do it alone. Oftentimes, trains will have armed guards on board or police officers will be alerted to the player’s location. However, one player has discovered a unique way to hide from incoming forces while on top of a train.

A Reddit user by the name of Onzeano managed to trigger an interesting glitch on top of a train that causesArthur Morganto lie down on top of the train car’s roof. This causes the encroaching bounty hunters to not know where Arthur is and therefore, no longer pursue him. It’s definitely a situational glitch, but it certainly gives cause for a new gameplay mechanic.
Onzeano later went on to explain that Arthur laying down was completely by accident, which begs to question how other players could accomplish a similar feat. Considering how bounty hunters and lawmen are always quick to pin down the player whenever any attempt is made to rob a train orrob a stage coach inRed Dead Redemption 2. A mechanic like that could really come in handy.
In any case, it’s interesting to see how a beneficial outcome can occur as a result of a glitch. Most of the glitches and bugs that occur withinRed Dead Redemption 2are either humorous or detrimental to the player’s overall experience with the game. Take for example a glitch that happened to one player which caused theirArabian horseto get caught in a hilariously perilous situation.
It’s amazing that even after nearly three years and numerous software patches, players are still encountering the occasional bug withinRed Dead Redemption 2. Admittedly, it makes sense considering the size and scale of the game, especially in terms ofRed Dead Online, where new content is always being added to the game and therefore, is more prone to bugs. It’s just entertaining to see that a glitch inRed Dead Redemption 2was actually beneficial to the player as opposed to detrimental or humorous, as is normally the case with bugs and glitches.
Red Dead Redemption 2is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
