As the release date forResident Evil 8 Villagenears, players are studying every teaser image, video, and the demo to figure out as much as possible about it. But one fan recently added toeverything known aboutRE8by figuring out how tall the towering Lady Dimitrescu actually is.
During theResident Evil Village’s Maidendemo, players meet theindominable vampire matron Lady Dimitrescu, who stands at incredible heights over the main character which no doubt adds to the tense atmosphere of not knowing what she’s planning or what will happen next. In fact, one fan took the trouble of figuring out exactly how tall she is by keeping a close eye on details in the creepy-demo.

Players first meetResident Evil 8’s vampire LadyDimitrescu when she has to duck to get into the house from the courtyard before straightening to her overwhelming height. Her shoulders seem, in the demo, to be about level with the door frame, giving Ash Parrish, a Kotaku Staff Writer, a way to begin to calculate the vampire matron’s height. They approximated that the doorframe would be about 86 inches high in the style and age of house, then they added about 10 inches to account for the height of her head.
Therefore, it would mean that Dimitrescu stands at 96 inches tall, 244 cm, or about 8 feet tall inResident Evil 8. That is significantly taller than the world record holder for the tallest woman ever, Sandra Elaine Allen, who stood an already mind-blowing 7 foot, 7 inches or 231 cm.
This calculation makes sense, considering that in most of the images featuring Lady Dimitrescu, she’s towering over everyone else around her. She seems to enjoy being overbearingly tall, adding massive hats to her already unbelievable height. And ifrumors that Lady Dimitrescu is based on the Japanese urban legend of Hachishaku-sama, which translates to “eight-foot-tall woman,” are true, this would make these calculations even more probable. Hachishaku-samais massively tall, always wears white, and eats her victims. Considering Lady Dimitrescu is always shown wearing white and she is a vampire, it can be assumed that they have the whole victim-eating thing in common. Both Hachishaku-samaand Lady Dimitrescu also have black hair and have pensions for big hats.
Unfortunately for the tall-lady fan-club that seems to be building around the vampire lady, thecollectors edition of Resident Evil comes with a Chris Redfield figurineand not one of Lady Dimitrescu.
Resident Evil 8is set to release on August 10, 2025 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
