Robert Pattinson has had quite some time to get used to the idea of being Bruce Wayne, especially afterThe Batmansuffered so many delays. So, the actor is probably getting used to seeing his face on gorgeous fan art like this one inspired byBatman’sanimated past.

Initially launched in 1992,Batman: The Animated Serieskicked off what is now known as the DC Animated Universe as the first of many lauded productions run by Bruce Timm, hence its alternate name, the Timmverse. During that era spanning over a decade, DC saw the introduction of many of its most famous animated character designslike “classic” jester Harley Quinnor the Joker that went on to give Mark Hamill his most iconic role, after Luke Skywalker.

Thanks to Peruvian artist JNCU ART (@jncu.art), now fans can see whatPattinson’s Year One Batmanlooks like rocking his signature eye shadow in fully animated glory. This unmasked Batman takes after the suit that’s been slowly unveiled by Warner Bros. over the course of this past year. However, the latest trailer proved this stripped-down version is just as good at taking bullets as Ben Affleck’s massive armor.

Naturally, this artist’s craft is not the product of a single day’s worth of work, as JNCU ART’s Instagram feed is packed with similarBatmanwork that’s obviously been influenced greatly by Timm’s art style, although he still does some Marvel drawings too. In fact, his YouTube channel features full videos of the artist’s process to transform these rough sketches into their beautiful final form.

Timm’s most recent work is 2017’sBatman and Harley Quinn, though he’s lined up as the mastermind of HBO Max’sBatman: Caped Crusader, whose release date is yet to be announced. While the Zodiac-inspired Riddler is set to beThe Batman’s main villain, he won’t be the only one getting in Bruce’s way, with the plot also making room for The Penguin as well as the beginnings ofhis relationship with Catwomanand Commissioner Gordon

Matt Reeves’ Gotham already has many excited over what could becomean even more grounded Batman than Christopher Nolan’s, a move that definitely makes sense considering the film’s place in Bruce’s path to becoming the city’s vigilante rather than just an urban legend. Because after all, he’s still not Batman, just vengeance.

The Batmanis scheduled to be released in theaters on June 21, 2025.
