Many in the gaming community are actively looking forward to the release ofHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. With the return of theDynasty Warrior-style combat, multiple playable characters, and the continuation of the worldbuilding and story present inBreath of the Wild, there’s plenty of reasons for players to want to get their hands onHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Although, now it seems fans may not have to wait too long to try the game out.
Ever since it was first announced during theNintendo Treehouse October event,Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamityhas been on the radar of many members of the gaming community. For those that loved the originalHyrule Warriorsgame, this game has been a long time coming, but for numerousBreath of the Wildfans, having the game serve as a prequel toBreath of the Wildis quite exciting, even if the gameplay does not reflect that ofBreath of the Wild.

However, according to a recent leak by a Spanish user by the name of Nintenleaks,Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamitymight be getting a demo version for theNintendo Switch. Thanks to a post from Nintendo Korea’s website, it was revealed that a demo for the game was announced well before Nintendo officially unveiled it.
As always, leaks like this one should be taken with a grain of salt. If Nintendo hasn’t officially announced it, then there’s no way to know for sure if the news is real, and that rings especially true for this presumed demo. The amount of Nintendo related leaks that have been debunked within the last year alone is astounding. In fact, a couple of days before Steve fromMinecraftwas announced as the next DLC Fighter forSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, many were convinced that the next fighter was going to beTracer fromOverwatch.
Then again, Nintenleaks could honestly be on to something in terms of this rumor specifically.Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamityreleases in less than a month, so it would make sense to release a demo right before the game’s release or at least somewhere within that timeframe. After all, Nintendo did exactly the same thing withPikmin 3 Deluxe, releasing the demo just a few weeks ahead of the main game’s release.
Either way, there areplenty of reasons to be excited forAge of Calamity, even if there turns out to not be any kind of demo for the game. Given how underrated the first entry in the series was, hopefully, the newfound influence fromBreath of the Wildwill make this a more popular installment.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamityis set to release on November 30th, 2020.
