We’ve known for a couple of months now that the nextSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC fighter isSNK’s Terry Bogard. However, there is still one fighter left to reveal for the Fighter Pass, not to mention new fighters that are coming post-Fighter Pass. Nintendo itself has yet to reveal any futureSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC fighters, but that hasn’t stopped the characters from potentially leaking online.

This leak comes courtesy of YouTuber PapaGenos, who revealed footage of Mii characters in costumes based on Mallow fromSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and theCacodemon fromDoom. While it’s possible that this footage has been faked or manipulated in some way, it does look pretty convincing, and the addition of cosmetics based on those games seems to indicate that the next playable characters will come from them as well.

If so, it seems likely that the next twoSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC characters are none other than Geno fromSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Starsand Doom Guy fromDoom.Doom Guy has been rumored for quite some time, though Geno hasn’t really been mentioned much by past leaks. At this point, the next twoSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC fighters could be just about anyone, so fans should keep their expectations in check.

If Geno is coming toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, it will be a huge deal for fans of the franchise. Geno has been one of the most-requestedSuper Smash Bros.fighters for decades now, but licensing issues over the character have kept him from joining the lineup. However, Nintendo has since included a number of third-party characters inSuper Smash Bros., even characters from competing companies.

After all, ifMicrosoft-owned Banjo-Kazooiecan come toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, then just about anyone can. In the meantime, those looking forward to an announcement about the nextSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC character shouldn’t have to wait all that much longer. With Terry Bogard releasing this month, an announcement should come within the next couple of months.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimateis out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
