Like many modern video games,Saints Rowstrives for graphical fidelity. While there is doubt as to how “next-gen” the game looks, the effort developers have poured into creating the vibrant city of Santo Ileso is undeniable. As such,Saints Rowbasks in the opportunity to take the player to its most visually impressive locales by tasking the player with taking some photographs.
Unlike prior entries in the series,Saints Rowgives players the option tofast travel throughout Santo Ileso. In order to do so, however, The Boss must first take photos of nearby landmarks highlighted on the map. Moreover, the game will also routinely challenge the player with a Photo Hunt that rewards The Boss with money and XP for completion. How to use Photo Mode in Saints Row
Taking photos inSaints Rowis quite simple. After the opening quests, “First F#@!ing Day,” “Morning Commute,” and “Making Rent,” the game world opens up for exploration, and the player can access their Smartphone to accept Missions, investigate Bounties, andchange The Boss' appearance. From the get-go, the Camera app is also unlocked, allowing players to take a photo of whatever they see around them.
To access the Smartphone, press the Tab on keyboard, Touchpad on PlayStation, and the Menu button on Xbox. Alternatively, players can quickly access the camera app by pressing P on keyboard, or Up on the D-Pad on PlayStation and Xbox.
Opening the Camera app will give players a few options to perfect their shot to complete quests or take snaps of someniftySaints Roweaster eggs. Using the Mouse Wheel on PC or the triggers on PlayStation and Xbox will allow players to zoom in and out to help get everything players want in shot.
Furthermore, players can clear their HUD to capture clean images with the R button on keyboard, Square on PlayStation, or X on Xbox. Finally, players can take their pictures using Spacebar on keyboard, X on PlayStation, and A on Xbox.
For side activities related to taking photos, players will need to be close enough to the landmark for a square to show up. They will then have to center the image and ensure they are the correct distance away for the photo to line up. Taking the picture will reward The Boss with XP and potentially unlock a new fast travel point toquickly get around Santo Ileso.
