A new trailer for the upcomingChainsaw Mananime was revealed on Tuesday. The trailer features some familiar scenes, as well as some snippets of the series' main characters. The trailer was backdropped by the series' opening theme, KICKBACK by Kenshi Yonezu.Chainsaw Manhas been slated for an October 11 premiere.
The new trailer featured characters like Kishibe (Kenjiro Tsuda, who plays a similar character inNanami fromJUJUTSU KAISEN), Makima (played by Tomori Kusunoki, who played Hayase inTo Your Eternity), the highly anxious Kobeni (played by Karin Takahashi; Suika inDr. Stone), the broody Aki, played by Shogo Sakata (Karin Sasaski,Fire Force) and finally, Denji, played by the relatively new voice actor Kikunosuke Toya.

Chainsaw Manfollows a depressed young man named Denji, who suffers under the burden of debt left to him by his father. He slowly pays off his debt by undertaking dangerous jobs that involve killing Devils; however,Denji is one day betrayed and killedby the yakuza. Before his death, he enters into a contract with his dog-Devil Pochita, which enables Pochita to take over Denji’s body and heart. Denji is revived as Chainsaw Man – half-man, half-Devil, and soon enlisted into the Devil-hunting Public Safety Bureau by the mysterious Makima.
There has been ample communication regarding the upcoming series, including information regarding the series' opening and ending themes, episode count, staff and cast, and more. The Chainsaw Man anime will be underthe production of MAPPA, the studio known for the production ofJUJUTSU KAISENandAttack on Titan: The Final Season.
With the highly anticipated Fall season soon underway, the excitement is palpable, as the screening of theChainsaw Manseries' first two episodes took place in Japan on September 18. The original Chainsaw Man manga was created by Tatsuki Fujimoto (Goodbye Eri) and ran for eleven volumes between December 2018 and December 2020. The announcement for the upcoming anime was made upon the end of the manga series, with a few words from the series' author regarding the exciting news.
The second part of theChainsaw Manmanga began serialization in Shounen Jump+ in July this year, and releases chapters every two weeks, picking up from where the original manga left off. Chainsaw Man will be officially released in Japan on October 11 at 25:00 JST, and will bemade available on the Crunchyroll streaming platform, with the dubbed cast having been announced early last week.
