One such collectible, a rare slime called the Yolky Slime, has players looking high and low.
To find a Yolky Slime of their own, players will need determination, luck, and strategy. This rare slime isn’t easy to wrangle! Keep reading to learn where the Yolky Slime spawns, how to increase the odds of catching one, and how to raise it once back inside the Conservatory.
Yolky Slime Spawn Locations In Slime Rancher 2
Yolky Slimes can spawn at any wild chicken nestin the game and are not biome-locked. However, they are quite rare. As with most slimes, they have a chance to spawn the first time a player walks near a spawn point each day. This means that perceptive players will often see them popping out of the nest as they pass. The spawn rate of a Yolky Slime is not impacted by whether the nest has chickens or not.
For the highest likelihood of getting a Yolky Slime spawn, it is advised to walk past several nests on a daily basis. Some players have devisedfarming routes for this purpose(try it out afterunlocking the Jetpackfor the best results). In addition, players may want to occasionally thin out slime numbers (either through natural tarr spawns or by throwing them into the Slime Sea) to ensure the zone spawns new slimes.
Yolky Slime Audio Cues
Yolky Slimes produce a high-pitched whine of several intonations when bumping into objects or idling. Unlike other rare slimes, the audio cue for Yolky Slimes is not very noticeable, similar tothe Ringtail Slime. This means thatlooking visually at each chicken nest is a more reliable way of finding themthan audio alone.
How To Keep A Yolky Slime On Your Ranch
Once a Yolky Slime has been brought to the Conservatory, they will not despawn. Yolky Slimes, similar to Fire Slimes and Puddle Slimes, have no diet and no favorite food. However, they will not produce plorts from thin air either. To prompt plort spawns, players must house their Yolky Slime in an uncrowded chicken coop(1 hen and 1 rooster).
Then, the Hen will occasionally lay a giant egg filled with Yolky Plortsand Chickadees. However, the egg must be broken within three in-game hours of its spawn to receive the plorts. Older eggs will “spoil”, resulting in only the Chickadees.
