ADiablo 4fan slows down the Werebear transformation animation to show just how grisly it is. Just like inDiablo 2: Lords of Destruction, the Druid ofDiablo 4can shapeshift into multiple forms, but the Werebear transformation may be among the most terrifying in the game given how horrific the animation is.
AlthoughDiablo 3neglected to include the Druid,Diablo 4has rectified the situation. TheDiablo 4Druid differs significantly from the original iteration of the character, but there are some overlapping themes as well. Unlike inDiablo 2,theDiablo 4Druiddoesn’t have to summon companions as they generate passively, and the transformations offer more detail, with the Werebear one being among the most disturbing.

Reddit user JadonArey recently shared a clip oftheDiablo 4Druid Werebearanimation slowed down to show all of its gory details. The video begins with a well-equipped Druid standing in place before activating the Werebear ability, causing their ax to disappear as the character flails their arms. TheDiablo 4Druid in the slowed-down animation contorts their body in a disturbing and graphic manner as they are transformed into the Werebear.
With the upper body of the Druid quickly transforming, the slowed-down animation oftheDiablo 4classshows that its legs are changed after its head and torso. As the Druid’sDiablo 4leg armor dissolves into the same brown fur, the Werebear swipes the air in front of it in what resembles a basic attack. Given that JadonArey’s clip doesn’t show any enemies in the frame, it’s currently unclear if this swipe is strictly part of the Druid animation or if it can cause some damage to any opponents if they’re standing in the right place.
After being slowed down, theDiablo 4Druid transformation shows how much detail Blizzard put intoDiablo 4and the Druid’s shape-shifting abilities. Just as it was inDiablo 2, this Druid transformation significantly boosts the player’s attack, making swarms of enemies and bosses less intimidating than having to fend them off with standardDiablo 4gear.
Diablo 4is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
