By year 2 inStardew Valley, your farm should have more than enough artisan equipment to increase the quality of your crops. While it’s obvious that some fruit/vegetables sell better than others, you can potentially enhance their value by aging them in the farmhouse’s cellar. One type of fruit that you’ll want to grow and age in bundles is Starfruit. It sells for a hefty price that can be raised depending on the Profession you choose when leveling up the Farming skill.

Should You Age Starfruit Wine?
How Long Does Aging Take?
If you fully upgrade your Farmhouse, you can make use of the Cellar. The Cellar is the final upgrade at 100000g and, unlike the kitchen and nursery upgrade, requires no wood/hardwood. When you first start out, your Cellar will only have 33 Casks. To make more, you’ll need:
Casks can only be used in the Cellar, so if you want a second Cellar, you’ll have to make a Cabin and upgrade it in multiplayer mode.
Place a Starfruit in a Cask to turn it into Starfruit Wine. Regardless of the Starfruit’s quality, Wine will age from No Star, to Silver, to Gold, and finally Iridium:
This means to get Irididium Quality Starfruit Wine, you will need to let it age fortwo seasons. If you’d prefer to sell Gold Quality instead, strike the Cask with the pickaxe, axe, or hoe when there is agold star on the front of the barrel. The same applies if you want Silver Quality, too. You can speed up the process with Fairy Dust (x1 Diamond + x1 Fairy Rose), but this only elevates it one quality level at a time. This means you’ll needa total ofthreeFairy Dustto get No Star to Iridium.
How Much Does Starfruit Wine Sell For?
Should You Sell It Before or After Aging?
Starfruit Wine is the most expensive Wine in-game if you age it all the way to Iridium. Depending on its quality and your Profession, the sell price will. If you’re planning on using Starfruit Wine as your main artisan income, then you’ll want to get theArtisanProfession. This can only be obtained if you chose the Tiller Profession at Level 5 Farming.
