But those who prefer to marry their romantic or platonic partners can also tie the knot in-game. Below is a step-by-step guide for players who want to marry other players in multiplayer mode.
Can Players Marry Other Players Immediately?
Normally, wooingStardew’smarriage candidates isa lengthy process. Even the fastest marriage candidates,HaleyandShane, can take at least two to three in-game months. In addition to raising heart levels, players must also catch their target’s heart events, upgrade their house, and buy a Mermaid’s Pendant that is only available on rainy days.
But if players decide to marry each other, they get to skip these steps and go straight to the proposal. Despite the straightforward process, going through it can still be an ordeal. This is especially true if players choose to get hitched early in the game.
How To Marry Other Players
There are three steps to marrying another player inStardew Valley. Depending onhow prepared players are, they can marry their partners almost immediately after the first step.
Buy The Wedding Ring Blueprint
Instead of buying aMermaid’s Pendant, players must purchase theWedding Ringblueprint fromthe Traveling Cart. The Traveling Cart appears in Cindersap Forest by the Forest Lake south of Grandpa’s Farm and west of Marnie’s Ranch. If players catch the Cart from 6 AM to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday, they can buy the Wedding Ring recipe for 500g.
Players should note that the recipe will only appear if the player is in multiplayer mode.
Craft The Wedding Ring
The Wedding Ring is a craftable item that can be labor-intensive to make, if players are still starting out. Five Iridium Bars and one Prismatic Shard are needed to craft the ring. Both take a while to mine or find, but some methods are easier to get to than others.

Iridium ore can be found in the Skull Cavern and inside Iridium Nodes, Mystic Stones, Magma Geodes, and Omni Geodes. Iridium bars can also be obtained by slaying purple slimes, iridium bats, shadow shaman, and shadow brutes. Meanwhile,Prismatic Shardscan be found in Mystic Stones, Iridium Nodes, and from a Skull Cavern treasure room.

Once they have a Wedding Ring, all players have to do is gift it to their partner. The wedding ceremony will take place three days after a player accepts the proposal. Players may want to plan ahead to avoid wedding delays in case atown square eventtakes place on the supposed day.
Benefits Of A Multiplayer Marriage
Marriage confers aStardrop to both partnersimmediately after their marriage. A giftbox containing the Stardrop appears inside their shared home after the wedding. This is a faster option than regular NPC marriage, as players need to reach 12.5 hearts with their spouses before they can get the Stardrop in those arrangements.
Playerscan also have children, like in NPC marriages. They must have the kids’ room upgrade in their home, have only one child or none, and both players must sleep in the same bed. The game will then randomly prompt a player to propose having a child to their partner.
Aside from these benefits, there are no other in-game rewards for marriage. However, players still often get married for role-playing purposes, to avoid bachelors and bachelorettes, or a number of other reasons.
