How to Start UC Wants You!

Much like otherStarfieldside missions, players can overhear a guard talking about how Zinaida in the local recruitment office needs some help. Players can also look forthe UC Vanguard officeand introduce themselves.

The first thing Zinaida will do when players introduce themselves is try to recruit them, at least if they aren’t already in the Vanguard. However, her side mission has nothing to do with the UC Vanguard faction missions, so don’t agree to join. Instead, players should tell Zinaida that they’re looking for work. She’ll mention that she wants to put some promotional material up in some local businesses, and she’ll pay extra if players get a guarantee that those businesses will actually put the posters and pamphlets up.

Starfield UC Wants You Lizzy

How to Get the Biggest Reward

The three characters players must speak to are the bartender, Lizzy Ajello, the head of security, Chief Pretorius, and the town doctor Keala. Of the three, only Chief Pretorius will happily set up the promotional material with no questions asked and no convincing needed. If players do that much, they’ll get 75 XP and a low amount of credits that scale with their level.

Lizzy and Keala would rather dispose of the materials, so players will need to Persuade them if they want to get the bonus cash. Players must pass a four-step Persuasion to convince Keala, and a six-step Persuasion to convince Lizzy. If players completeLizzy’s side mission, “Sure Bet,“a special green option that adds +5 steps may pop up during the Persuasion.

If playersfail a Persuasion attempt, the character will refuse to put up the promotional materials, but nothing else will happen. When they return to Zinaida, players will get an extra 1,000 credits for convincing one person or 2,000 credits for convincing them both.
