Starfieldfeatures a wide range of secrets, mysteries, and Easter eggs, all waiting to be found as the player journeys across the Settled Systems. From seemingly innocuous slates that lead to incredibly rewarding quests, to a retired, space-traveling grandmother that always offers free food,Starfieldtakes this tradition established with Bethesda’s past titles, and spreads it out over an entire universe.
One of these secrets can be found very early in the game, but will take some time to access. When players first become members ofStarfield’s enigmatic Constellation group, they will gain the ability to freely explore the Lodge - Constellation’s home base. Tucked away in a dingy corner of the basement, players will find a locked spacesuit case, with what appears to be a variation on the Constellation set. This guide will explain what it is, and what is required to get it.
Thanks to an exploit,Starfieldplayers will be able toget the lodge basement spacesuitwithout having to upgrade their Security skill. To do so, they’ll need to look for a small gap in the right side of the display case, through which they’ll be able to grab the Constellation suit early and save themself a Digipick in the process.
To find the case, players will follow these directions:
What is in the Master Locked Spacesuit Case in Starfield?
The player will likely notice several things when they first reach the case, most importantly that it features one ofStarfield’s master-level locks. To open a lock of this level, the player will have to reach the third level of the Security skill, which is found in the Tech branch. Master locks are the highest level locks inStarfield, and while they may be tricky, players will have had a lot of practice with locks in general simply to reach the third level of Security.
Inside the case players will find the Mark I Constellation spacesuit. Very little is known or explained about this suit, other than the fact that it appears to be the prototype for the suits that would come later. What is interesting about this suit, is that it is essentially a blank slate. As players will see, it is only a base-level suit, with no built-in modifications. Currently, there is no known benefit to wearing the Mark I, other than the fact that it fits very well withStarfield’s NASA-punk aesthetic.
Should I Use Skill Points to Get the Mark I Spacesuit?
The Mark I spacesuit does not appear to have anything inherently special about it, so the question whether or not to pursue it is a valid one. However, the only real time investment is centered around theacquisition and upgrading of the Security skill, which will have benefits far beyond the ability to acquire this suit. Having the ability to unlock master-level safes, computers, and rooms, can be one of the most valuable skills in the game, and will reward the player throughout their entire experience inStarfield.
