As the name hints, End of the Nightmare is a quest where players have the choice to end a character’s nightmare or make it worse inStellar Blade. Baran is constantly living in a hellish nightmare due to him being the only survivor after the Eidos 7 district got submerged in water.
To ease his mind,Eve agrees to help him retrieve some Memorysticks, but what she finds are not peaceful memories. Completing theEnd of the Nightmare questinStellar Bladerequires choosing between two options, and each one will affect Baran in a certain way.
Should You Hand Over Both The Diary & Memorysticks To Baran In Stellar Blade?
While completing the End of the Nightmarequest inStellar Blade, you will be faced with a choice at the end. Before choosing an option, it’s essential to understand thatyour choice will not affect your gameplay or affect the game’s ending in any way.
Aftercompleting theOblivionquest inStellar Blade, which allows you to drain the water from the submerged district in Eidos 7, you can find Baran next to a Liquor store in need of help. It seems he and his friends were once in the district looking for treasure, but when it got submerged, he was the only one who survived.
Baran wants to know what happened, so he sends Eve to look for them. Go to the lower floor of the district and open the store to find the dead bodies. Reading the diary on the table will reveal that Baran’s friends were waiting for him to save them but lost hope in the end and started calling him a greedy traitor and a murderer. Now, return to Baran, where you must make a decision.
Hand Over the Memorysticks
Handing over only the Memorysticks without the diary willmake Baran happythat he has finally got to retrieve his friends' memories, andhe will stay oblivious to the fact that his friends consider him a traitor and a murderer. Since it doesn’t really affect the gameplay, you may choose this option if you want a ‘happy’ ending for Baran. When visiting the submerged district again in Eidos 7, Baran will not befound next to the Liquor store, meaning he has moved on.
Hand Over Both the Diary and the Memorysticks
Handing over both the diary and the Memorysticks willbreak Baran’s already-fragile mind. He will befilled with guilt and keep blaming himself for killing his friends, which can be considered a ‘bad’ ending.
