Street Fighter 6introduces several new match types and game modes, one of which is called World Tour mode. This effectively serves as a sort ofStreet Fighterrole-playing game, a bit like howYu Suzuki’sShenmueseries was originally conceived as aVirtua FighterRPG. UnlikeShenmue, however, World Tour mode has players create their own playable character with whom they will explore and grow.

The World Tour mode ofStreet Fighter 6is broken up into 15 chapters and 46 main story missions. There are also a bunch of optional side quests too, many of which reward players with cosmetic items for their avatars. Chapter 1 of World Tour mode serves as an extension of the tutorial, teaching players how to initiate fights, restore their health, and interact with the game’s many NPCs.
Chapter 1 - 1: New Kid on the Block Walkthrough
After completing the tutorial section, players will begin “New Kid on the Block,” which serves as the only main story mission in Chapter 1. To complete it, players will first need to talk to Alice, who can be found near the main road not far from the entrance to the subway. To begin with, she’ll ask the player to land ten assisted combos, which, whileplaying using the modern control scheme, can be done by holding R2 (PlayStation) or RT (Xbox) and then pressing either Square or X (PlayStation) or X or A (Xbox).
Once players have landed ten combo hits, they’ll then need to defeat two random NPCs. This is relatively easy, as just about every NPC in World Tour mode can be challenged to a fight simply by approaching them and pressing either the Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) button. Players should pay close attention to the level of the NPCs that they challenge, though, as some of the high-level NPCs can be pretty tough for beginners.
Whenever they’ve had their fill of fighting, players should return and speak with Alice to trigger a text message from Luke. He wants them to check out the nearby food truck and buy themselves some food, which is one of theways that players can heal inStreet Fighter 6’s World Tour mode. They’ll then need to head to the nearby alley, where they’ll be jumped by a couple of Level 1 goons with cardboard boxes on their heads.
Beating Ryan and Tracy will lead to a short cut-scene with Alice, after which, players will need to pay a visit to the nearby clothing store and buy themselves a cap. This will trigger another message from Luke, who mentions that he is waiting nearby. Talking with him will lead to a two-on-one sparring match, and, regardless of whether they win or lose,Luke officially becoming the player’s first Master.
All that’s left to do from here is to return to Alice, who can now be found standing in front of the building next to Drippin' Style. She’ll ask the player if they are starting to understand Luke’s lessons yet and they’ll be given the option to respond with a yes or a no. Whichever they choose, the “New Kid on the Block” mission will be marked as complete and the first chapter of World Tour mode will come to an end.
