More information on theSuicide Squad ISEKAIanime has been released. Warner Bros released a brand-new trailer that revealed the series' main cast, as well as its 2024 premiere.
The trailer gives us a better look at characters like Harley Quinn, The Joker, as well as Amanda Waller, who, as the series title summarizes, recruits various DC villains and sends them toa fantasy world of magic, orcs, and dragons.

In addition to cast information, the trailer also revealed some staff information after theSuicide Squad ISEKAIseries' original announcement shared that the project was a collaboration between Warner Bros Japan and WIT Studio, the animation production studio famous for the first threeseasons ofAttack on Titan.
Staff members revealed in the trailer include Director Eri Osada (Key Animation,Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood); Screenplay byRe:Zerocreator Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, who also wrote the scripts in the production ofRe:Zero;character designs by Naoto Hosoda (key animation,5cm Per Second), based on drafts by Akira Amano, creator ofReborn!and the currently-airingRon Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective; while the music inSuicide Squad ISEKAIwill be composed by Kenichiro Suehiro (Music,Golden Kamuy). The trailer also revealed theSuicide Squad ISEKAIopening theme song, “Another World” by Tomoyasu Hotei.
Cast members include Anna Nagase (Ushio Kofune,Summer Time Rendering) as Harley Quinn; Yuichiro Umehara (Jugram Haschwalth,BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War) as The Joker; Reigo Yamaguchi as Deadshot; Takehito Koyasu (Dio Brando,JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Peacemaker; Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch vi Britannia,Code Geass) as Clayface and Subaru Kimura (Aoi Tōdō,JUJUTSU KAISEN) as King Shark. No English cast has been revealed for the series as yet.
In addition to the trailer, various character visuals were released to show the various members of Waller’s ragtag band of criminals in their element in their strange new environment. For those who are not familiar with the premise ofSuicide Squad, the plot follows Amanda Waller, the head of the Gotham-based organization known as A.R.G.U.S., as she sends a ragtag band of villains through a gate connecting Gotham with a fantasy world oforcs, dragons, swords and magic– an isekai. With lethal explosives tied to their necks, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, Clayface and Peacemaker have to face the perils of their new environment or face certain death. TheSuicide Squad ISEKAIseries is set to premiere in 2024.
