A recently uploaded clip ofThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimis turning heads because it shows aDragonborn’s childseemingly teleporting from one room to the next.Skyrimis notable for having many glitches that lead to all kinds of bizarre oddities.
Skyrimglitches have filled rooms with dogs, let players run on top of their horse, allowed enemies to walk around headless, and made NPCs swim in mid-air.Skyrimhas no shortage of glitches and bugs, and thanks to the sheer size of Bethesda’s open world game, some are still discovered to this day. One glitch that players have found inSkyrimseemingly allows the children to teleport, which can create rather unsettling scenes.

In aSkyrimclip uploaded by Reddit user QuietWildLife, viewers can see a child teleport from one room to the next. In the clip, the Dragonborn is in their children’s room. In this playthrough, they adopted orphans Sofie and Blaise. Sofie is casually lying on the floor while Blaise is standing near a bed. He says, “Hi Ma!” and then the Dragonborn walks away and heads to their front door. Inexplicably, Blaise suddenly walks through the door. The Dragonbornlooks back into their children’s room, and Blaise is nowhere to be found.
This bizarre clip had commenters suggesting QuietWildLife hire an exorcist to deal with their “possessed” child who apparently has teleporting abilities. This is not the first time a teleporting child has been found inSkyrim, and it’s unlikely to be the last. It’s unclear exactly what causes this glitch to occur, but on the bright side it appears to be harmless and shouldn’t have any negative impact on one’sSkyrimplaythrough beyond being immersion-breaking.
This is just the latest weirdSkyrimglitch involving the game’s children that’s hit the subreddit recently. In another instance, aSkyrimchild glitched through a tableso their head was sticking out of a plate. These glitches make the kids inSkyrimcome across as especially creepy, but maybe players have good reason to fear them.
As is typical of Bethesda games, the kids inSkyrimcan’t be killed, but they can do some damage to the player. In fact, there was an incident recently where aWhiterun child hired an assassin to kill the Dragonborn. While they may seem innocent on the surface,Skyrimplayers may want to watch their backs around the children they come across in the game.
