WhileTell Me Whyis a fairly linear experience, there are some extra things that players can do if they stray off the beaten path and know where to look. Oftentimes these bonus objectives have achievements tied to them, which is the case with the Hacking 101 achievement that players can unlock inTell Me WhyChapter 1. Please note that this guide will have someminor SPOILERSforTell Me Why, so anyone that has yet to complete Chapter 1 may want to do so first before trying to unlock all of the achievements.
In any case, the Hacking 101 achievement inDontnod Entertainment’sTell Me Whycan be unlocked when players reach the police station. They should simply play through the police station level normally until they go upstairs and interact with Chief Eddy Brown, who will give them the keys to the breakroom. With these in tow,Tell Me Whyplayers can actually use them to open the door to the receptionist area and interact with the police computer there.

For the username, selectD. Wilson. And then for the password, type:SALEM. After inputting the password, the Hacking 101 achievement should pop, netting another achievement forTell Me Whyplayers. The effort will also help anyone playing through the game onXbox Game Passcomplete some of their Xbox Game Pass quests for unlocking achievements as well.
“Hacking” into the computer in the police station is just one of the extra things that players can do inTell Me Why. They can also hunt down all of the Book of Goblins collectibles that are hidden throughout Chapter 1, and they can also go for some of the other achievements. For example,Tell Me Whyplayers can get afull confession out of Tessafor an achievement as well as some additional story details. It’s also possible to solve Mary-Ann’s door puzzle by using clues in the Book of Goblins, though players are also free to break it open using brute force if they’d rather do that instead.
Before too long,Tell Me Whyplayers should have all of the achievements possible for Chapter 1 in the game, but there will be even more content sooner rather than later.Tell Me WhyChapter 2 is set to launch on September 3, with Chapter 3 to follow on September 10. Like Chapter 1, bothTell Me WhyChapters 2 and 3will have extra objectives for players to complete, along with a variety of collectibles to find as well.
