Where To Find Thicket Excavations In Fallout 4

To find Thicket Excavations inFallout 4, players should head to thenorthwest corner of The Commonwealth. This location is northeast of Concord and the Museum of Freedom and southwest of USAF Satellite Station Olivia. The area you are interested in is visible from afar because of the white rocks and many stone cubes near the point of interest.

What To Do At Thicket Excavations In Fallout 4

Having served as a granite quarry for over 200 years, much of Thicket Excavations has been submerged by water, and the rest of the site has succumbed to corrosion and the effects of time, leaving it looking worn out. However, the toxic water environment and remoteness of this area make it an excellent habitat forMirelurkandBloatflyenemies, which can lie in wait for Sole Survivor behind large granite cubes or near water.

Approaching the water, players will notice a pump generator and three small trailers. After examining the one closest to the water, you can pick up theTaboo Tattoos - Eagle’s Nestcollectible book, and by listening to the terminal in the southernmost trailer, you will learn aboutSully Mathis' plans.

Not far from the trailers, players will also meet Sully Mathis himself, who will ask you to help drain the quarry. He seems like a good guy, and his request doesn’t seem too dangerous, but don’t let him fool you.

Should You Help Sully During Pull The Plug In Fallout 4?

As you might have guessed, Sully Mathis and hisPull the Plugquest are the primary reasons to visit this location. If you ignore the NPC’s request, this place will remain as you saw it for the first time, and Sully will continue to wander along the shore. But we advise you to complete Pull the Plug regardless of the obvious clues about the NPC’s plans you heard in the terminal.

During the conversation with Sully Mathis, try to raise the reward for the task to get the maximum benefit, and then accept the quest and go to the water. Your goal is torepair three pipesunderwater to drain the quarry (you can find a diving spot by following the bubbles in the water). After completing this task, talk to Sully, press the pump button, and fend off the Mirelurk enemies that attack. After this, you will receive a reward for your help (50, 75, or 125 capsdepending on the success of the player’s persuasion checks). This quest sounds like a great way tobuild future friendships, but it will be revealed that this NPC was just using the Sole Survivor.

Sully Mathis in Fallout 4

After leaving Thicket Excavations and returning 24 hours later, you will find that Sully has brought many raiders who have turned the quarry into their base. In turn, Sully Mathis has become alevel 30 bossand is waiting for you at the bottom of the quarry. When you come to his newly formed raider base, you will be an enemy of this group, so players should feel free tokill all enemies and the bossand collect the loot that drops from them.

The dialogue options chosen will not affect your relationship with Sully Mathis or the outcome of the quest.
