MGS Snake Eater, Madden, Shinobi, & More
August 2025’sPS5 lineupis largely complete by this point, and the month has one game that is arguably among the biggest of 2025. Konami is bringing backMetal Gear SolidwithDelta: Snake Eater, a remake of one of the best stealth games of all time. Going by the released footage and marketing, the project seems to be a faithful and impressive reimagination of the classic original.
For other releases,Madden NFL 26is a pretty big deal, at least for the franchise’s community.Mafia: The Old Countryis also aiming for an August 2025 debut. While full exclusives are not that common during this month, August 2025 has one notable console exclusive inLost Souls Aside.
PS5 Games Coming In September 2025
Borderlands, Silent Hill, & More
While still taking shape, quite a fewPS5 release dateshave been announced for September 2025, including a couple of major releases.Hell is Us,Borderlands 4, andSonic Racing: CrossWorldsare targeting the month, and they should all attract quite a bit of attention.Hell is Usis an action open-world game, whileBorderlands 4is, naturally, a looter shooter.
Although still too early to say,Silent Hill Fseems set to be the biggest PlayStation 5 game of the month, and it is a console exclusive. NeoBards and Konami’s title will be the first “new” entry in the franchise in a long time, and the trailers have been generally encouraging.Dying Light: The Beastis also set for a September debut, adding another big open-world project to the PlayStation 5 library.

Ghost of Yotei, Dark Pictures, & More
Ghost of Yoteiis one of thebiggest PS5 games of 2025, and Sucker Punch’s successor toGhost of Tsushimahas confirmed an early October release date. Set a few centuries after its predecessor, the game will follow Atsu as she seeks to take out a group of outlaws who murdered her family.
Ghost of Yoteiwill overshadow every other PlayStation 5 game released during this month, butThe Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020should still be a big deal for horror fans.Ninja Gaiden 4looks set to be another exciting hack-and-slash game in the series, with PlatinumGames handling the sequel.The Outer Worlds 2is also confirmed for the end of the month.Little Nightmares 3is targeting October, the month of Halloween. Meanwhile, FPS fans might want to check outPainkiller.

Anno 117, Code Violet, & More
So far, thePS5 2025 lineupfor November does not look that great, but there is still plenty of time for that to change. Even if no other huge projects are announced for the month, which seems unlikely,Anno 117andCode Violetshould be pretty big deals in their own right. The former is the latest entry in a franchise that has consistently delivered excellence, whileCode Violetis a PS5 exclusive that blends third-person action and horror. The latter is a bit of an unknown quality at this point, but it could be fun.Project Motor Racinglooks like it could be a great racing sim.
Other 2025 PS5 Games With No Release Dates Or Post-November Debuts
Dune, Frostpunk, & More
At this stage, the 2025 video game calendar still has a ways to go, although most of the big games have likely been announced. Still, you never know, and there is a chance that the year’s best releases have yet to confirm release dates. That said, several massive projects have tentatively declared plans to launch within 2025, although they have not committed to specific dates.
Upcoming PS5 Games With 2026 Debuts Or No Release Year
Kingdom Hearts, Wolverine, & More
As games spend years in development, plenty of projects are known to be in the works but have yet to announce anything resembling a release year.Wolverine,Assassin’s Creed Infinity,Phantom Blade 0,The Witchercontinuation, andBeyond Good and Evil 2are some of the biggest games in the works, all of which will attract plenty of attention once they debut. Most of these titles are presumably a few years away.
