What Does Anomaly Proficiency Do?
In Zenless Zone Zero, Anomaly Proficiency is anAttribute Anomaly Damage Booster. Each Anomaly Proficiency you get for an Agent contributes 1% toward the overall damage they inflict on the enemies when their Attribute debuff is activated.
Attribute Anomaly is a special debuff that each character can perform based on their element. Every successful attack builds up the gauge for an Attribute Anomaly release, and when an Agent accumulates enough power, they strike the enemy with a temporary stat nerf. The Anomaly Proficiency Effect increases the damage caused by this attack.
What Does Anomaly Mastery Do?
Unlike Anomaly Proficiency, Anomaly Mastery accelerates Attribute Anomaly’s replenishment. Each Anomaly Mastery point contributes 1% toward Attribute Anomaly buildup, resulting in more frequent triggers of this attack.
To put the difference between Anomaly Mastery and Proficiency into perspective, Mastery increases the frequency of Attribute Anomaly while Proficiency enhances its power and overall damage.
How to Improve Anomaly Mastery and Proficiency
Zenless Zone Zeroplayers have two methods for maximizing the effect of Anomaly Proficiency and Mastery: Unlocking Core Skill Enhancements and getting W-Engine upgrades.
Unlock Core Skill Enhancement E
If you want to exploit an Agent’s Anomaly Stats, you should aim tounlock their Core Enhancements A, C, and E. But note that these skills only grant an Anomaly boost if your Agent already specializes in inflicting debuffs. (You should check the skillset of your desired character before investing in their Stats.)
Upgrade the Agent’s W-Engine
If an Agent’s W-Engine comes with an advanced stat that improves Anomaly Proficiency and Mastery, upgrading it will result in a slight Anomaly enhancement for the user. Remember that the equipment should already have a related base or advanced booster stat for this method to work.
