WhileBattle for Azeroth may have been a very controversialWorld of Warcraftexpansion, it did add some exciting new concepts to the game. The new locations were beautiful, the allied races were a fantastic addition, and most of the patch content was engaging. Perhaps the coolest addition, though, came in the form of the brand-new Heritage Armor sets. These armor sets gaveWorld of Warcraftplayers a sense of accomplishment after all these years and went a long way in giving Azeroth’s races distinct identities again.
Blizzard may abandon a lot of features when it moves onto newWorld of Warcraftexpansions, but the Heritage Armor sets seem to have stuck. The studio has been steadily adding more throughout the last couple of expansions and will likely add even more before Dragonflight ends. Everyallied racehas a set, Blood Elves have a couple of sets, Gnomes and Goblins got to join in on the fun, Humans and Orcs shine in theirs, and even the Worgen and Tauren got some. Patch 10.1.7 will expand it even further with the introduction of Night Elf and Forsaken sets, and that leaves only a few more to go.

Draenei
While the Lightforged Draenei may have their own Heritage Armor set, the classic Draenei have yet to get one. This race was added back duringWorld of Warcraft: The Burning Crusadeand has been a core part of the story ever since. They have been instrumental in stopping the Burning Legion twice, the Lich King’s armies, and the cataclysm itself, and have also been a beacon of hope for the Alliance. Their spaceship even served as the central hub for an entire patch during Legion, but Blizzard has yet to honor them in some way. They deserve a set just as much as any race, and hopefully they are next in line.
Dracthyr
The Dracthyr are the newest raceto joinWorld of Warcraft, but they did not come with a unique Heritage Armor set. Every single allied race launched with one in Battle for Azeroth, but it seems like Blizzard did not want to do the same thing in Dragonflight. While they have not had a major effect on Azeroth yet, hopefully Dragonflight’s narrative ends with them unlocking their own unique armor set. It should not come at the expense of other races, but they definitely deserve one at some point.
Troll
The Trolls have been a part ofWorld of Warcraftever since it launched in 2004, but they are the only classic race that has not gotten a Heritage Armor set yet. The Zandalari Trolls launched with their own set, but the standard Trolls have been left out of the fun. They have been a major force with the Horde since the beginning, and they even led the Horde fromthe end of Mists of Pandariato the start of Legion. It seems strange that Blizzard has not given them a Heritage Armor set, but hopefully it has been hard at work on one befitting this powerful people.
Pandaren
The Pandaren are the only other race that has yet to get their own Heritage Armor set. They were introduced back in the aptly titled Mists of Pandaria and have been a part of both factions for a long time. While they have mostly taken a backseat to more popular races, these fluffy pandas still deserve their own set. Their continent may have the most unique aesthetic in Azeroth, and being able to wear armor that shows that off would be a blast. Some players have also been yearning toreturn to the shores of Pandaria, and a new Heritage Armor questline would be the perfect way to do that.
