Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream, takes players into the Emerald Dream–a whimsical realm full of fantastic creatures not seen on Azeroth. Many of these creatures can betamed by Hunters inWorld of Warcraft, unlocked by Druids as shapeshifting forms, or acquired as mounts or battle pets by players of any class. One such creature is the dreamtalon, a beast that looks like a mixture between a raptor and a tiger.

However, on its official Twitter account,World of Warcraftshowed off a secret interaction with the baby dreamtalon pets. While one of the little critters is summoned, players can use the /dance emote while targeting the creature to have the dreamtalon do a little dance with them. Though the short video shows aWorld of WarcraftDruid shapeshifted into a large dreamtalon–which does the same dance as its smaller counterpart–players can get these adorable pets to dance regardless of their class, race, or appearance.

Unfortunately, the dreamtalon battle pet only dances for a few seconds each time a player uses the emote, so fans will have to be quick if they want to take a video or screenshot. Even so, players got a kick out of this adorable detail, with some not even knowing pets could have interactions. According to thepopularWoWcollector fansite warcraftpets, 198 companion pets have special interactions in the game so far, so fans might already have a few other cute surprises in their collections.

Gamers who enjoy collecting battle pets won’t have to wait long to encounter even more.World of Warcraftrecently revealed its roadmap for 2024, which includes a release date window forThe War Within. The new expansion adds four zones to the game full of new critters to collect, so pet enthusiasts will have plenty to do inThe War Withinwhen it releases next summer.
