At that point, Microsoft will highlight all thenew Xbox Game Pass gamescoming to the service in the first half of September 2023, while also revealing which titles are leaving on September 15. It’s possible all eight of these games will be listed for the September 15 removal date, but there’s also a chance that some of the listed games will instead be removed on September 30, so fans should keep that in mind.

In any case, the eight games confirmed to be getting removed from Xbox Game Pass in September 2023 areTrain Sim World 3: Standard Edition,Metal: Hellsinger,Fuga: Melodies of Steel,Civilization 6,Tainted Grail: Conquest,Aragami 2,DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, andDanganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition. Anyone that navigates to the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section will see thatMetal: Hellsingeris actually listed twice, but that’s because itsXbox One versionis listed separately from the Xbox Series X/S version.

Out of these games, the ones that fans may be saddest to see go areMetal: Hellsinger,Fuga: Melodies of Steel,Civilization 6, andDanganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.Metal: Hellsingeris a rhythm FPS gamethat earned mostly positive reviews and was even nominated for an award at The Game Awards 2022.Fuga: Melodies of Steel, meanwhile, is a strategy game that earned similarly positive reviews, and recently got a sequel that earned even more critical acclaim.
Civilization 6really needs no introduction as the latest installment in the long-running strategy game series. Its console version wasn’t nearly as popular as the PC port, but it’s still sad to see it removed from the service. And of course, theDanganronpaserieshas a very dedicated following, and they will no doubt be sad to seeDanganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Editionremoved from the Xbox Game Pass lineup.
On the bright side, there are a lot of big games coming to Xbox Game Pass in September 2023 for fans to look forward to, includingStarfield,Soulslike gameLies of P,Payday 3, and more. So even though these eight games are leaving Xbox Game Pass in September 2023, fans should still have no shortage of things to play.
