Unfortunately for PlayStation 5 gamers, Ubisoft’s free-to-play first-person shooterXDefiantis launching without a Platinum trophy to unlock. FPS fans have been waiting what seems like ages forXDefiant, but the wait is nearly at an end. Following multiple testing periods, theXDefiantrelease date is nearly upon us.

XDefiantis launching on Tuesday, May 21. Come May 21,XDefiantwill be available to play around 10:00am PT. Of course, online-only games like these commonly have problems at launch, and so fans should keep that in mind. But, hopefully, theXDefiantlaunch is smooth sailing, so fans can jump into the game and see if it was worth the wait.

WhenXDefiantreleases to the masses, it will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Like most modern games,XDefiantwill be launching with a set of achievements/trophies for players to unlock. The majority of PS5 games include a Platinum trophy for players to unlock as well, butXDefiantwill be an exception to that rule.According to data shared by PSN Profiles,XDefiantdoes not have a Platinum trophy. In total,XDefiantonly has 13 trophies for players to unlock, and it seems that most of them are pretty straight-forward and easy.

XDefiant Trophy List

Based on the trophy list, players can unlock all the trophies inXDefiantby simply playing the game normally. Players are rewarded for performing well inXDefiantmatches, leveling up their weapons, trying out the different game modes, and getting kills. There doesn’t seem to be anything egregiously difficult when it comes to unlocking all theXDefianttrophies, though some may have hoped for the game to have a fuller trophy/achievement list. The lack of a Platinum trophy is especially disappointing, and it’s unclear whyXDefiantis leaving out the popular feature.

Even though some PS5 gamers will be disappointed about the lack of a Platinum trophy, hopefully the game lives up to expectations otherwise.XDefiantis launching with 14 maps and five different game modes, and if it’s successful,Ubisoft will continue to support the game with regular content updates. Time will tell howXDefiantcompares to the many other FPS games in the crowded shooter market, but fans will find out soon enough.
