How to Unlock Beam’s Secret Weapon Shop in Yakuza Kiwami 2

InYakuza Kiwami 2, Kiryu can gain access to Beam’s secret weapon shop starting fromChapter 6through the completion of the substory “Beam’s Backroom Cache.” Here’s what Kiryu needs to do to unlock and complete this substory inYakuza Kiwami 2.

Speak with Morita in Theater Square

To start the substory, he needs to speak with Morita, an information dealer located in the middle of Kamurocho’s Theater Square. Speaking with Morita triggers the game’s 17th substory titled “Beam’s Backroom Cache.” Morita informs Kiryu that the password to a hidden back room in Beam has been changed, but he’s not revealing this new password himself.

Speak with Nitta in Debolah

Instead, Kiryu is directed to seek out a man named Nitta within the nearbyDebolah dance club, located just a few steps away from Morita. Nitta can be found in a secluded corner of the club. Upon approaching him, Nitta proposes selling the new password to Kiryu for the price of50,000 yen, which he accepts. However, instead of straightforwardly disclosing the password, he opts to provide Kiryu with specific instructions for determining it independently, making the deal less enticing but necessary nonetheless.

Nitta instructs Kiryu to head back to Beam and ask the clerk at the counter for a copy of “Take-chan’s High School Heaven,” which is no doubt a wholesome flick, but unfortunately for Kiryu, doesn’t it actually exist, or at least he isn’t actually getting it.

Discover the Secret Password

According to Nitta, the Beam clerk will then present Kiryu with a particular question, the answer to which is the total cost of all the drinks available atKamurocho’s Cafe Alps. Kiryu can visit Cafe Alps and calculate the cumulative price of its beverage offerings, which includes three types of coffee and one tea, resulting in a sum of2600 yen.

Answer the Beam Clerk’s Question

Following Nitta’s instructions, Kiryu should make his way back to Beam and approach the counter attendant. He should request a copy of “Take-chan’s High School Heaven.” However, the clerk will only provide the film if Kiryu can successfully answer his question: “What was my gas bill last month?” As Nitta previously revealed, the answer to this question is the total price of the beverages available at Cafe Alps. Kiryu must enter “2600” as the response, which will grant him access to the hidden back room, concealed behind a shelf of videos.

Once inside the back room, Kiryu will find the Hidden Weapons Dealer, who offers a small selection of weapons, including the High-voltage Stun Gun, Special Police Baton, and a few other useful additions to his arsenal. He, unfortunately, does not carry the wide variety of weapons that are displayed throughout the room. This completes the “Beam’s Backroom Cache” substory, permanently granting Kiryu access to the secret backroom shop.
