When Snyder left, he didn’t expect there to ever be a possibility of DC fans getting to seehis version ofJustice Leagueeither. Before the movie was confirmed, Snyder believed that many years down the line, he would provide the original footage that he had shot to anyone potentially making a documentary on the story behindJustice League. Even though he is aware that this might be it, Snyder has stated in past interviews that he is just glad that he got to complete the film the way he initially planned to - something he thought he would never get a chance to do.
