A Reddit user who goes by the moniker McLean has made their version of a Republic Gunship that manyStar Warsfans will instantly recognize. From the wings to the overall shape of the ship’s body, McLean nailed the execution of this build. There have been somewild flying machines built inTears of the Kingdom, but this unexpected crossover betweenZeldaandStar Warsis surprisingly functional.
Not only does the Gunship look cool, but it’s also an incredibly useful weapon. As demonstrated in the video the creator posted to Reddit, this Gunship build is a very efficient way to kill groups of enemies quickly. McLean is able to hover over enemy camps at a height that’s far off to evade rocks and arrows while firing relentlessly from above. There have been severalStar Wars-inspired creationsthat players have made inTears of the Kingdom, and it’s amazing to see just how functional this one is.
When it comes tothe success ofTears of the Kingdom, some fans were probably not expecting a well-crafted building mechanic to take over the game’s community so quickly. It’s been incredible to see how fast players have picked up on the feature to make so many amazing and complicated creations. This entry into theZeldafranchise has offered players a surprising outlet to flex their creativity muscles and engineering skills to play aZeldagame in a way that many didn’t expect.
