Summary
ALegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer clipped their use of a powerful laser cannon in defeating King Gleeok. Not all builds made withZelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Ultrahand abilityare combat-ready, but this player has effectively showcased their laser cannon’s ability to kill the overworld boss.
There arefour King Gleeok inZelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with each of their heads representing one of the elements. These bosses can be found in different parts ofZelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Hyrule, including one in West Hebra Sky Archipelago, and another in the Gerudo Sky. Because of its elemental threat, the powerfulZelda: Tears of the Kingdomboss requires effective equipment and strategy to defeat. This player usedZelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Ultrahand ability to build a weapon that can easily reduce King Gleeok’s health.

Reddit user Divlogue recently shared a clip of their convergent laser cannon inZelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The clip begins with Link placing the weapon between him and an attacking King Gleeok. As the three heads begin to attack the player, they angle the laser cannon toward King Gleeok to turn its attacks against it. As the device is hit by the King Gleeok’s attacks, eight beam emitters are activated and can be aimed at the overworld boss to do damage. The beam emitters spin around the central frame of the weapon as the player continues to move it into position with Ultrahand until the enemy is defeated.
Although the player was hit by King Gleeok and had to scramble to use Ultrahand again, the strategy was maintained throughout Divlogue’s video. Thebeam emitters appear to be connected to a propeller in the central mechanism of Divlogue’s build which allows them to spin around it. Once all the beams are fixed on the King Gleeok, Divlogue is able to reduce its health bar significantly. Despite having to reset the weapon a few times, Divlogue is able to killtheZelda: Tears of the Kingdombosswithin a few minutes.
Given how muchZelda: Tears of the KingdomZonaitewas likely used in this build, some players may choose alternative methods to slay King Gleeok. Though theZelda: Tears of the Kingdomcreation may benefit from construct heads being implemented, Divlogue has opted to aim the device themselves. Because the build doesn’t use the helpful item, the player can remain engaged as they may be when using standard weapons.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis available now for Switch.
